ARGENTINA: REQUIREMENTS

In order to submit an application for the Argentinean investor visa, you should satisfy the following requirements:

      1. Make an investment of at least 1,500,000 pesos aimed at a productive, commercial or service activity of interest to Argentina;
      2. Present documentation accrediting your professional experience;
      3. Formulate a business plan detailing the investment project;
      4. Justify the origin of your funds;
      5. Open an account in a financial entity authorized by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic;
      6. Buy or rent a property in Argentina.

ARGENTINA: PROCESS

The application procedure for an Argentinean investor visa from the beginning of application all the way to obtaining citizenship can be found below.       8. You send the consulate your materials of application along with your passport;
      9. An investor visa will be issued;
      10. You come to Argentina to open a bank account and choose an address for your residence;
      11. With the open account you will be able to make the required investment;
      12. Finally, the NDM will grant you the temporary residence permit for investors. The first residency permit is valid for 1 year, renewable for up to 3 years.
      13. After 2 years of holding a permanent residency in Argentina, you may be eligible to apply for citizenship. Dual citizenship is recognized in Argentina : you won’t need to renounce your previous nationality to become a citizen of Argentina.

All supporting documents must be translated into Spanish. The documents must also be legalized. If the country is part of the Hague Convention, the apostille replaces the requirement of legalization of the official documents. Here is a list of documents you will need for the application: 

      1. Application Form;
      2. Sworn Declaration in English and Spanish;
      3. Police certificate from your country of citizenship and/or of any other country of residence in the previous 3 years;
      4. Passport;
      5. Birth certificate ;
      6. Marriage certificate and family booklet (if applicable);
      7. Two photographs;
      8. Evidence of the funds and their origin, which may include bank statements, pay slips, act of a pension benefit, passive revenue, etc.;
      9. Justification of accommodation in Argentina (acquired or rented property is accepted).
