    3. Valid residence permit or other proof of lawful residence.

NETHERLANDS: PROCESS

Before beginning the procedure, we’re going to organise a meeting where you’ll explain us your situation and we’ll take over by telling you how we’re going to proceed and what documents you’ll need to send over to us to prepare your file. Then, we’ll be pleased to answer any questions you have concerning your Dutch citizenship.

Once the application is complete, we’ll submit it to the immigration authorities in The Netherlands. After that, you’ll just have to wait to see if your application is accepted, which we’re sure it’ll be. Unless you are exempted from language competency, you may be interviewed to verify your proficiency in the Dutch language.

If the application is successful, you will become a Dutch citizen in a naturalisation ceremony, be given a Dutch national identity card and a Dutch passport. Any unmarried dependents (under 18 years old) will become a Dutch citizen, if they live with you, attend school in the Netherlands and are included in the naturalisation decree.
